New boiler system at the Colorado Rockies Coors Field

Value Delivered

Trautman & Shreve was the prime contractor for this project and worked closely with the owner and engineer to provide a new boiler system for the stadium.

The project had to be completed during the off-season and prior to opening day of baseball season. As the stadium was occupied during this time, a temporary boiler was installed to maintain the heating system in the building and a shutdown was executed to change over to the new boiler system.

Client Objectives

Our customer upgraded the boilers in the mechanical room to create a more efficient system to complement the new hydronic heated field.

The old boilers, pumps, and piping had to be removed to make room for new boilers. A temporary boiler was set outside the stadium and piped with hoses to maintain the use of the occupied building during construction.

Client Background

Coors Field is a baseball stadium in downtown Denver, Colorado and is home to the Colorado Rockies.
